Mr Pugs, Senior Pug SuperModel
My name is Mr. Pugs. My Dad adopted me when I was four months old and my former owner couldn't take care of me. I did all the usual pug stuff; slept late, ate, and tore up numerous stuffed toys. I also chewed up several TV remotes which didn't make me my Dads favorite pug sometimes. I had an older pug brother, Mi-Ti, to keep me company. We shared beds, Dads of course, toys and all sorts of pug mischief. I didn't chew up every TV remote by myself, I was just the one caught with it in my mouth. My pug brother passed away two years ago. We had spent eleven years together and I miss him. I'm thirteen years old now and am blind, deaf, and have arthritis so I'm a little slower than I used to be.
Last April my Dad and I were out for a walk and a lady stopped and asked if she could see me. I love attention and she asked if I could pose for some pictures she was doing for Wal-Mart. They were to be posters that hang in the ladies department. Dad said sure but that I was old and gray, blind and deaf and maybe a younger pug was more what she was looking for. (I've never bitten anyone but Dad was coming close to being the first after that old comment) The lady said no I would do fine and to call and set up a time for the pictures to be taken.
The
day arrived and I was bathed, brushed, and pampered. We got to the set and a
pretty model was to pose with me. I held still and did everything they wanted me
to do. Starting last month you can see me in every Wal-Mart store in the USA. At
thirteen I'm a supermodel. I know the Pug Rescue has a lot of older pugs that
need parents and remember, even at my age I've managed to be in every Wal-Mart
coast to coast. So don't forget us senior pugs, we might surprise you. You could
be the next proud parents of a senior pug superstar.
Love and pug hugs,
Mr Pugs (supermodel)
P.S. I got to meet Darva Conger at the last pug rescue fund raiser and she said
she was a fan. Life is good for this senior pug!
